Missions Emphasis

International

Dominican Republic (Haiti): BBC is taking a team to the Dominican Republic this July 18-25 to work with Haitian communities in conjunction with our good friend Brent Gambrell and A Door to Hope. The cost is $750 plus airfare.

Honduras: Annually in March, this is a 2-3 week trip partnering with Frontline Missions. We travel to this Central American country to share the gospel, church construction, and provide medical clinics.

Samaritans Purse-Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes: Members send gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. October-November each year.

Domestic

Gideons: Gideons distributes Bibles and New Testaments to win the lost to Christ. Several members of our church are involved in this organization.

Local

Mission Board (IMB), North American Mission Board (NAMB), Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBC), and the Oldham, Trimble Baptist Association (OTBA), Lottie Moon (IMB), Annie Armstrong (NAMB) and Eliza Broadus (KBC) are special offerings for these programs.

IMB missionary works for Lancaster Bible College as Program director of training Pastors in Uganda called (PDN) Pastors Discipleship Network.

Baptist Builders: Team of men, women, and students help Kentucky Christians by building, remodeling, and repairing their churches to facilitate greater ministry opportunities. Project usually occurs in July.

Crossroads Pregnancy Center: Located in Crestwood, CPC provides emotional help and practical resources such as lab-quality pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and peer counseling to women with unplanned pregnancies.

Foundation of Hope: Located in Buckner, this food pantry's mission is to improve the health and well-being of families in Oldham County, Kentucky who lack the resources to adequately feed their families by providing nutritious food and access to other community resources.

Good News Homes: Exists to help displaced or at-risk families, especially those who are undeserved, find housing and/or related resources that can help them become or stay self-sufficient.

Hope Health Clinic: Provides under-served persons and families in Oldham County with an opportunity to have access to basic health services.

Meal Ministry: Church Members prepare and deliver freezer & fresh meals for families in need during difficult times to show God’s love and care for them.

Sew-It-Goes: Group of Ladies that fellowship & sew together the 1st Tuesday of each month after the Women on Mission meeting, usually at noon. Sewing mission projects such as quilts-Good News Homes, Christmas Stockings-Prison Ministry, Pillow case dresses to be given for here and abroad. Projects to share God’s love around the world.

Wayside Christian Mission: The fourth or last Saturday each month at 5:00 a.m. this ministry serves breakfast and ministers to those who struggle at the Wayside Christian Mission in downtown Louisville. Meet at the church and carpool together.

Women on Mission: The first Tuesday each month at 10:00 a.m. Group of women who meet to learn about missions and pray for missionaries.
